Reminiscent of the timeless Coco Eau de Parfum by Chanel, Velvet is a bold and captivating scent from the very first spray.
As Velvet unfolds on the skin, it reveals a warm floral impression that sets the stage for its opulent, baroque composition. The stars of the fragrance are undoubtedly clove, with its spicy, slightly sweet trail, and sandalwood, delicately dusted with powdery tonka. This spicy-woody accord forms the core of the composition. Throughout the scent journey, other notes add interest and depth, creating a multi-faceted scent-sory experience. A warm, abstract rose dipped in orange liqueur and hints of non-juicy, “dry velvety peels”-style peach tantalize the senses, while smoky-leathery labdanum, sweet opponax, and amber contribute to a rich resinous impression in the base.
Last but not least, a subtle trail of civet adds a pungent allure, further enhancing the complexity of Velvet. The fragrance is warm, dry and husky, with a spicy-woody core, velvety rose-orange accents, and a non-glossy, resinous ambery finish.
