Leisure Bay · KwaZulu-Natal · South AfricaZayya was born in Leisure Bay, on KwaZulu-Natal's South Coast, where subtropical green meets the sea, and the air carries salt, warmth and the occasional wild change in weather.
There is something about living here that has shaped the way we think about fragrance. Life feels a little less hurried, nature is always close, and there are still stretches of coastline that feel wonderfully removed from everything else.
It is a place that encourages you to notice the smaller things. The warmth of the morning sun, the scent of the air before a storm, or the way a familiar place can feel entirely different as the seasons change.
We began with perfume, but our interest was never only in what you wear on your skin. As Zayya grew, so did our fascination with the way scent can live throughout a home, mark a moment or quietly become part of an everyday routine.
That curiosity continues to shape everything we create.

Today, our collection reaches beyond personal fragrance into room and linen mists, reed diffusers and candles, with new ideas continually taking shape in our studio.

We develop and blend our creations with care, working in small batches and taking our time over the details that matter to us.
From the fragrances we choose to the way each creation is presented, we want everything to feel considered, without losing the personal touch that has been part of Zayya from the beginning.
Zayya is vegan and cruelty-free. These are commitments that matter to us, and they remain part of how we approach what we make.
We are still experimenting, still learning and still discovering where fragrance can take us. There will always be another scent we want to explore, another idea taking shape in the studio and another reason to try something new.
